DNC: Dems w/ No Courage

May 31, 2008

FL and MI get half their votes?

This one is real basic: you told MI and FL that their votes wouldn’t count if they flaunted the primary rules. They went ahead anyway. The DNC voted on what to do, and it made a decision.

Done.

Now we’re in a tight race, and the candidate whose ego could be bigger than her husband’s cries foul. Why? One guess, though here’s a hint: the character flaw at play here rhymes with “lack of character”. (It’s a very, very close rhyming scheme.)

This isn’t about the candidates. It’s not about the race, or politics, or anything except one single concept:
ACCOUNTABILITY.

I get managers and parents lamenting to me constantly that today’s college graduates don’t seem to get the concept of accountability. Gee, I wonder why. The world just turned on the TV to find one of the three candidates for future “leader of the free world” fighting against the very concept because it doesn’t suit her political ambitions.

Good luck to me and everyone else trying to stop the unraveling of American society.

“Why don’t you just vote red,” you ask?

Did you not hear what Bob Dole had to say about previous WH Press Secretary Scott Mclellan this week? Here’s what he wrote about Scott. The gist of it is that for Scott to come out after years of “living the life” with a scathing tell all, after reaping all the benefits of the position, is to make him the very definition of “miserable creature.” I think the word Bob was looking for was “cowardly.”

So that’s who we’ve got helping out in the White House on the Republican side.

Look, it’s not McCain’s affiliation with the Republicans that concerns me. It’s their continued affiliation with the office.

To review:

Hillary — Political to the point of having no character, and a confirmed liar. (Or is she?) Pardon me, but I’d like a leader I can trust and respect.

McCain — Beholden to people like McClellan, Rove, Bush, and Cheney? Yikes.

Obama — Didn’t have the political sense to stay on the ballot in MI. Did he learn his lesson?

God help us.

(Please.)

This has got to stop.
