If I buy H2SD for my whole team, will they understand it?

No way. Better to unilaterally decide that they’re too stupid to handle the satire than to test your theory. When they find out how little you think of them, they’ll probably thank you. They’ll say, “Thank you! Your lack of faith in my ability to understand satire was just what I needed today. What would I do if I didn’t have you treating me like a child?”

NOT.

Show some faith. Or, if the issue isn’t one of faith but of the tone not matching your organization, then try Super Staying Power, my other book which tells a very similar story without the snarky turn-about.

What if I don’t want to self-destruct?

Then you’re fooling yourself, of course. Get on the bandwagon before you waste another day.

I’d like to give this to someone I know, what will she think when she sees the title?

She’ll think exactly what you think she’ll think: “Um, did you really give me a blueprint for self-destructing? How should I interpret this?” Then you’ll laugh an evil laugh and say, “Mwuhaha… Don’t think so hard, intellectualizing is not your strong suit, remember?”

Or, you’ll say, “That’s what I thought when I saw the title, too. It’s good. It’s funny. You’ll like it.”

Why did you write this?

Not everything has a reason. Some things just happen. This book was one of them.

Who’s Trestle Publishing?

Trestle is me. How to Self-Destruct is distributed by Greenleaf Book Group, an awesome company based in the awesome city of Austin, TX. Trestle is the name of my all time favorite ski run, which you can find on the the Mary Jane side of the Winter Park resort in Colordao.

How long did it take to write this?

I wrote the first version in two weeks. I wrote the second version in another two weeks. Then it took eight months working with my editor and designer to create the finished product.
