How to Tie a Bowtie

May 12, 2010

HRevolution has certainly generated a fair number of blog posts since Saturday, but you know, this post could be the most important one.

For guys heading to formal functions, that is.

It’s a crash course on how to tie a bowtie.

Special thanks to Mary Ellen, who took it upon herself to rent a prom dress so that I wouldn’t be the only formal person in the room.

(Sorry I forgot the corsage, m.e.!)

And yes, call the etiquette SWAT squad: I’m chewing gum in the video.

This is officially my favorite HRevolution post. I used to love watching my dad tie his ties (bow and regular) when I was a little girl. Having you and Mary Ellen at the Monster Social tweetup definitely gave a little sophistication to the event.

Woohoo! Best post ever. You can stop with the blog now. :-)

I still can’t believe someone asked you if it were “real” or a clip-on.

On first glance I thought the title of your post was “How To Be a Bowtie” and we were going to see you in a yoga pose! A good post anyway.

@Trish—”Having you and Mary Ellen at the Monster Social tweetup definitely gave a little sophistication to the event.” I agree. m.e. brought the sophistication, I ratcheted it down to just a little bit. We were quite the team that way.

@Ben—Like George Costanza, ending on a high note, huh? Great working with you on HRevolution, Ben.

@Mary Ellen—Doubters, haters, clowns… they make you shake your head, but the world wouldn’t be complete without them now, would it!

@Lisa—Now that would be a fun post! I cringe thinking about the follow up chiropractor’s bill, tho…
