Leadership: Learning from Palin and Gustav

Imagine a CEO announcing to a company that a person he just met at a professional conference is going to be new COO. That would raise some eyebrows, no?

We can certainly expect some rich debate over Palin.

Of course, it may be moot. Bush is sending National Guard reservists to Iraq (because we’re out of active troops, I guess). If either Gustav or Hanna is a repeat of Katrina, and we AGAIN can’t respond because the resources we need have been shipped overseas, then the Republicans may be sunk regardless of McCain’s choice.
