Hi Jason,

Fabulous post and having read it only today is still perfect timing for me…since I have quit recently!

Lot went into my mind before I could make this decision especially since I had spent 9 years in this organisation and I do not have any other “job” to count now!

My boss thinks its “aspiration mis-match” and rightly so….its a mismatch for his aspirations for ME. I do not necessarily feel that a tried and tested path is the right one for me. Thank you soo much for this post…it re-affirms the faith that I have in NOT having a the same path for all.

@James—You'll appreciate this post I wrote a while back about "scanning," or career hopping. Bottom line: not only will your story include a whole helluva lot of education, it will also include long stretches of tedium as you practice the skills you're trying to learn for that next move.

Yeah, I don’t about this one… If you don’t a path, you are floater and there is a good chance skipping over education, whether it be college or university will set you back.

That being said a good attitude a willingness to learn are the most important things I ever learned in school.

So if the path is a path of learning… which is indeed a story… then I’m in…
