For lasting career success, you have to go for it. You have to put the fear aside and commit. Fully. And not just to some prefabbed career “path,” or “lattice,” or whatever they’re calling it these days, but to your whole story.
Maybe you’ll succeed, maybe not. But to have a shot, you need to take the risk—you have to tolerate the possibility of “failing spectacularly” for the chance of getting what you want.
