On June 4, 2008, while on CNBC, I told Donny Deutsch, Linda McMahon, and a few others that I thought the traits most admired in leaders are often feminine in nature… and that I thought on the whole, women had what it takes to outperform men in top jobs.
I also said that culturally, we still have a leadership archetype not far off from the Roman warrior, which makes it hard for women to get into those positions where they can use their skills.
Turns out, my intuition is born out by the research.
